Ari Sorko-Ram
Founder, CEO, and President

A man of varied backgrounds, Ari was a professional rugby player in France and played for the French National Rugby team and then signed as a professional football player in the NFL for the St. Louis Cardinals. He went to undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Southern California, studying psychology. He worked in the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department until he became a film actor. He has appeared in over 100 films and TV shows in Israel and the United States, such as Hawaii 5-0, Entebbe, The Finest Hour, and was a lead actor in TV series such as Chips and Sweating Bullets. He left Hollywood to return to Israel, the land of his forefathers and became an Israeli citizen in 1976.

Ari and Shira married in 1977, and have been ministering together since that time.

As Messianic Jews, Ari and Shira direct the Maoz Israel Ministry. They have been pioneers of the Messianic Jewish movement in Israel, and until May 2013 pastored a Messianic Jewish congregation in the Tel Aviv area. They have sponsored many national conferences for Israeli leaders and believers.

Their main thrust is leadership development and outreach--the full message of the Gospel--spiritual, emotional, and physical salvation through Yeshua, the Messiah

Ari and Shira reside in Ramat HaSharon. They have two sabra (born in Israel) children and five grandchildren.

Shira Sorko-Ram

Shira has lived in Israel since 1967.  She has worked as director and producer of documentary films. “Dry Bones," a film on the prophetic significance of Israel’s rebirth is acclaimed around the world and was seen by Golda Meir.

Shira has written for many publications concerning the Messianic Jewish Movement and the Christians’ part in Israel’s spiritual resurrection. She writes a monthly newsletter, MAOZ ISRAEL REPORT, giving the prophetic, political, and spiritual perspective of current events in Israel.

Shira and Ari Sorko-Ram married in 1977 and have been ministering in Israel since then. As Messianic Jews, Ari and Shira direct Maoz Israel Ministries. They have pioneered several Messianic Jewish congregations in the Tel Aviv area and sponsored national conferences for the Israeli believers.

Christy originally began as a consultant with Maoz in 1989. After a few months, she was asked to be the USA Administrator for the ministry. As the ministry grew, her role progressed into management, consultant, advisor, development and marketing. She now serves as International Administrator for Maoz Israel Ministries. She oversees the USA office and the international Maoz offices in Canada and England.

As a graduate of Oral Roberts University, Christy earned a B.S. in Business Administration.She regularly consults with numerous ministries in her area of non-profit expertise.
